Boynton Lions officers installed
Boynton Lions Club began its 60th year of service to Catoosa County by passing the same gavel used by the founders in 1952 to the new 2012-13 officers. Richmond Blackwell was named president.
"We follow a long legacy of service inspired by all the Lions who have given to Boynton and Catoosa for 60 years," Backwell said. "If you would like to make a difference, become part of the effort."
Vision is a primary focus of the organization, assisting area residents who need glasses and qualify for aid. The organization works on a statewide level with Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind and the Emory Child Care Center.
