Children 14 and under to receive free admission to UTC-Georgia Southern on Saturday
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga invites all area youth to attend the upcoming football game this Saturday against No. 2-ranked Georgia Southern.
Children will have the opportunity to experience a college football game as UTC hosts NCAA Football's "Take A Kid to the Game" (TAKG) program. Kids, ages 14 and younger, will receive a free ticket, with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket, to watch the Mocs take on the Eagles.
Chattanooga is one of more than 200 schools across the nation participating in this campaign focused on allowing youth the opportunity to attend college football games. The Take A Kid to the Game program is entering into its 17th year in the promotion of collegiate athletics.
"Part of the mission of UTC is to be an engaged, metropolitan University," stated Interim Director of Athletics Laura Herron. "I can't think of a better way to be engaged with our community than to encourage young fans to come out and support the Mocs. This is a huge game for us this weekend and we need the stands full of Blue and Gold, so grab the kids and come out for a fun night of college football."
The Mocs are 4-3 overall and one of three teams in the Southern Conference with just one loss (3-1). Georgia Southern is ranked No. 2 in the nation at 6-1 overall and leads the SoCon with a 5-1 league mark.
