Firefighters host competitions, spectators welcome

Catoosa County Fire Department and Fort Oglethorpe Fire Rescue will co-host the third round of the Northwest Georgia Fire Chief’s Association Firefighter Muster.
The event is Saturday, July 28 at 9 a.m. at Heritage High School, 3960 Poplar Springs Road near Ringgold.

“The Muster is a competition between firefighter’s involving skills needed in the profession,” said Battalion Chief Steven Quinn. “The events are designed to invoke teamwork and cooperation while enjoying the spirit of competition.”

Teams from across North Georgia are expected for the competition.

The public is invited to bring a lawn chair, and enjoy a morning watching “Hometown Heroes” compete for prizes.

T-shirts and food will be sold at the event and funds raised will benefit firefighter scholarships, he said.
