Tractor Supply Pet Appreciation Celebration

Catoosa Citizens for Animal Care

August 18th is National Homeless Animals Day but every day millions of animals live without the love, safety and comforts of a home.  The ASPCA reports that approximately 5 million to 7 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year, and approximately 3 million to 4 million are euthanized.  Please consider adopting your next animal friend from a shelter-you will save a life.  And consider this; the life you save may be your own! Dog owners generally exercise more which can lower weight and blood pressure and pet owners often report better moods and less depression.  Aside from the health benefits, some things just can’t be measured…like the love and gratitude your new cat or dog will show you for years to come when curled up beside you at night.

Catoosa Citizens for Animal Care would like to invite you to join us at the Tractor Supply Pet Appreciation Celebration from 10am-2pm on August 18th.  There you will be sure to find that wonderful furry companion that you have been looking for (knowingly or not!). While there you can visit Cornerstone Vet at their vaccine clinic and there will be a trade day for farm animals.

CCAC would also like to invite you to assist us in our efforts to spay/neuter and place animals in loving homes through volunteerism.  Just a small amount of your time can make a huge difference in the life of an animal.  With volunteers, CCAC was able to coordinate 139 adoptions this year.  Of these, 41 cats and 27 dogs were taken out of the Catoosa County Shelter and placed with homes.

If you love animals and are interested in making a difference, please visit our website, our facebook page, call our help line @ 706-937-2287, or e-mail us @ helpccac@gmail.com.   We would love to hear from you!
