1. Microsoft Xbox Game Console
2. Broadband Internet Connection (Quickserv DSL)
3. Xbox Live Account (purchased from your local video game retailer)

1. If you have a computer also, you must either have a router or being paying for a 2nd MAC address
   1. Contact 965-2301 to add a 2nd MAC Address ($5 Monthly fee)
   2. You will need to contact Ringgold Telephone Company’s technical support (965-2301) to put your router’s MAC address online for your account if you have not already done so. A current list of Xbox Live compatible routers can be found at http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/connect/routerlanding.htm
2. Before you connect your Xbox console to your router, make sure your router, DSL modem, and Xbox are all powered off
3. Take an Ethernet cable and run it from the modem into the “Internet” or the “WAN” port on the back of the router.
4. Plug your computer into any of the 1,2,3,4 ports on the back of your router.
5. Repeat step 4 for the Xbox console.
6. Power on your modem and wait 15 seconds
7. Power on your router and wait 15 seconds
8. Power on your Xbox without a disc in it.
9. Click on “Xbox Live” on your main Xbox dash board
10. Click on the “New Account” button.
11. Click on the “Continue” button
12. Choose US as your billing region
13. Read and Xbox Terms of Service and click Okay if you agree with them
14. Choose your gamer tag and enter your of birth
    1. Your gamer tag will be what is used as your gamer name across all Xbox Live games. This name is permanent so choose wisely.
    2. You must have been born before 1993 to be an Xbox Live account holder
       
       
       
       
15. Click on the “Continue” button 2 times.
16. Enter your Xbox Live subscription code
    
    
    
    
17. Enter your credit card information
    1. Xbox live is an automated payment service
    2. After your account runs out, your credit card will automatically be billed unless you call Xbox customer support (1-800-469-9269) to cancel the account.
       
       
       
       
18. Enter your billing address.
    1. This address must match the address that is on your credit card
       
       
       
       
19. The remaining couple of steps are mainly asking about if you want to be able to download “premium purchases”. They are game extras that usually cost $4.99 one time. They include such things as extra levels or extra cars
    1. The credit card on the account will be charged for the premium purchases.
20. Once the setup wizard is complete, enter your favorite Xbox Live compatible game to begin playing online!
