Former Ringgold football standout arrested on drug charges after running from police

A once-promising high school football standout is behind bars again in Catoosa County for allegedly running from authorities after being found in possession of meth.

According to the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Department, Martez Antonio Eastland, 23, of 4362 U.S. 41 in Ringgold was arrested Wednesday, April 15, on charges of possession of methamphetamine and obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers.

A bond has not yet been set for Eastland.
